Delighted to have 'The Spring Mare, a Cold War Fable' published this week by Thin Skin. The story was inspired by the Prague Spring. As a child, growing up in Japan, I listened to US Armed Forces radio as my only English language radio station and the Cold War was somehow never far away. I was too young to know about the Prague Spring at the time, and like the girl in my fable, probably wouldn't have understood the world.
